Anvato's video processing and streaming solutions are coming to the Google Cloud Platform

Anvato is far from a household name, but it might very well become one in the future, or at least its technologies, which are coming to the Google Cloud. The software in question tasks itself with things like encoding, editing, publishing and distribution of internet video – an area in which Anvato has built-up the better part of its expertise over the years.

And, judging by the company’s impressive list of partners, like NBCUniversal, Univision, Scripps Networks, Fox Sports, Media General, the solutions in question must be pretty good indeed.

According the the press release, Anvato will still continue to offer its partners tailored business solutions, while the Google Cloud Platform will serve as another outlet, mutually beneficial for the advancement of both businesses and their users. To quote Alper Turgut, CEO of Anvato:

We are thrilled to bring together Anvato with the scale and power of Google Cloud Platform to provide the industry’s best offering for OTT and mobile video. This will allow us to supercharge our capabilities, accelerate the pace of innovation, and deliver tomorrow’s video solutions faster, enabling media companies to better serve their customers.

As a side note, we can’t help but wonder if Anvato will eventually carry over more than just its cloud editing expertise to the Google suite and in particular, its live streaming, VOD tech and even potentially its adblock-resistant monetization approaches.
